I am a 31 year old wife and mother of 2. I am currently on a journey to "lap-band land". I hope to have my surgery July 2010. I am a stay-at-home mom and also do daycare for a little girl with special needs. I am hoping to gain support and encouragement from others whom have gone down the same road! Thanks for reading!

I try to limit myself to no more than 1200 since my restriction isn't awesome. My doc wants me at 1000/day.
I have been sucking it up when it comes to workouts, but I normally just walk to do the Wii.
I normally aim between 1200-1400 calories. My doc (same office as Grace) would prefer less than 1000, but when I started doing that I had NO energy (sleeping 16+ hours a day)and they had me up my intake. Since then it seems to work well for me since I do exericse regularly (I normally burn between 2200-2400 calories a day).
I haven't really been counting calories, but I may have to start since I don't have restriction. Conversely, it's hard to eat les calories when I don't have restriction. :(
Once I stopped counting calories, the weight seemed to come off a little better. I think it is better to vary your calories each day so that you can trick your body and it doesn't settle into a normal calorie amount.
I workout a ton, I seem to love it these days!!
I sort of aim for 3 meals a day of between 200-400 cals a time, I may also have 1 or 2 snacks of 100 cals each.
I try not to focus on this too much as I don't want to be counting points or cals but probably have between 1000 and 1500 a day.
Lately I've been having 900 to 1000Calories. And as far as working out go I walk 5 days a week and do some strength training every other day.
I fluctuate between 1000-1200 calories a day and my doctor expects me to eat less than 800 calories and I had this surgery to learn to make better choices since I don't want to be counting calories or dieting for the rest of my life... I walk several days a week and do my water aerobics once or twice a week. *Maria*-blogger from "This one time at BAND Camp..." Follow my journey at mybigfatbandgeeklife.blogspot.com
